iRock: New City Lions

Rock is about character. Rock is about driving rhythm and passion. For New City Lions, rock is also about dancing. These guys embody the fusion of electronic instruments and high-energy power pop. With an already impressive résumé, NCL is eager to let the whole country hear their sound.

The band has had music licensed on E! as well as shows on MTV including Made. They’ve worked with the Hot Topic retails stores and their drummer, Matthew Barrios is even endorsed by Shine Drums. Recently, they hooked up with major labor producers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount who have worked with Cartel and Mayday Parade. Their 2010 show lineup boasts a label showcase at The Knitting Factory in LA as well as 100+ other shows.

The first song on their OurStage playlist, “Never Too Soon” is the perfectly-arranged pop rock song, grabbing the listener with the first catchy guitar riffs and energetic drum fills. With vocals evocative of an early Fall Out Boy, this song delivers everything you could want in an infectious rock song.
