Hailing from Dallas, Kingsfall have spent the past two years garnering attention for their versatile approach to alt-rock.
Kingsfall’s full-length, self-titled album features the songs “Love” and “Believe,” both of which can be heard on radio stations around the country. The quartet perfected the sound of Switchfoot and Matchbox 20 on this record, combining 90’s style rock with powerful vocals and heartfelt lyrics.
Lyricist and lead vocalist Josh Dufrene covers everything from despair (“All My Life”) to undying love (“Dream”) while the band keeps the instrumentation simple, yet dynamic. Aiming to spread a message of hope and positivity, Dufrene seems to be speaking to himself in “Believe”: “Your heart tells you you’ve got what it takes to turn the whole world around/don’t give in.”
Kingsfall earned placements on the Channel One Network, as well as invitations to play at SXSW in Austin, Texas and Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They have also shared the stage with fellow pop-rockers Sugarcult and Lovedrug. The band is currently preparing for the October 29th release of their next album.
