Needle in the Haystack: A Lion Named Roar

A Lion Named Roar”certainly not a name we’ll ever forget, especially since they are this week’s Needle in the Haystack winners! Founders Chris Jackson and Tyler Anderson met in high school and, despite playing in a few other bands here and there, came together to form A Lion Named Roar as their focus and passion. The band’s unique blend of pop, folk and country is easy on the ears and explains their growing popularity in their hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.
Recent release Said & Done features many different musical genres along with smooth and moving vocals”especially on their song, You Need a Soul. The group was generous enough to offer a free download of their track Shoot it Straight, which can be found below. We would love to hear your opinion on the track in the comments section.
