Green Day Plot First Installment Of Tour Dates For Album Trilogy, Release Music Video For "Nuclear Family"

A few things to go over. Numero uno, vererable pop punk outfit Green Day has three new albums, ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré!, coming out in the near future. But you already knew that. Numero dos, the band has just announced a string of dates, likely the first leg in a three part installment, to support ¡Uno!’s impending release. Numero tres, the band also released the video for ¡Uno!’s first single “Nuclear Family.” I know that’s a lot of information to digest. But let’s just dig in after the jump, shall we?
Here are the important bits you should know about the tour, according to Rolling Stone. The band will be doing short run of warm-up dates through Washington State, California, Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona in November. After the end of the holiday season the band will head back out on a full North American tour. A full listing of the dates can be found on Green Day’s website here.
And now for “Nuclear Family.” If you feel like you’ve already heard a ton of new Green Day material, you aren’t alone. The band has already released three new songs from ¡Uno!, two of which have come out in the last month alone. But “Nuclear Family” still deserves a minute of your attention. The bare bones clip captures the band rocking out in some indistinguishable warehouse somewhere, which is a nice change of pace from the group after the blown-up, grandiose songs and videos that have been their bread and butter since the American Idiot days. The video also features what is likely the most prominent cameo yet from unofficial fourth Green Day member/touring guitarist Jason White. Unlike in the video for “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” you actually see White’s face for a second or two! Exciting.
