The Flaming Lips Cover The Beatles

There’s something extremely risky about covering an iconic band’s work of art. Risky, and often times bold. But with several covers under their belt, including an impressive interpretation of Pink Floyd‘s Dark Side Of The Moon, The Flaming Lips recently tackled The Beatles’ classic, “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.” The song has that Flaming Lips touch, which the band admits was recorded spur of the moment while practicing for New Year’s Eve. Recently, the band also covered the Stone Roses‘ “Elizabeth My Dear” with Ke$ha and New Fumes, and Sparklehorse‘s “It’s a Sad and Beautiful World.“
