Modern Day Escape Announce Hiatus

As they say, all good things must come to an end. But it’s never so sad as when we hear those four little words coming from a band we love: “We’re taking a hiatus.” Orlando based hard rock/metal band, Modern Day Escape, announced via Facebook this week that they’d be taking a hiatus “from the music industry as the group Modern Day Escape until further notice.” With that kind of wording, it’s difficult not to daydream about what exactly that might mean. Will they come back under a different name? Split off into side projects? Only time will tell. Check out the full note via Facebook below.

Dear beloved fans and friends a like,

since 2006 MDE has written 4 killer rock albums, met some great people, played some amazing venues, traveled different countries, shared the stage with some amazing bands and had some of the most die hard fans a band could ask for, we can not be thankful enough for all the memories and good times.

But all good things must come to a PAUSE.

we regret to inform our fans we will be taking an official hiatus from the music industry as the group Modern Day Escape until further notice.

Sometimes “life can be a bitch”.
