Frontier Ruckus Is “Positively Freaking”
posted in: Music News
On February 17th, Michigan indie rock band Frontier Ruckus will release Enter The Kingdom, their fifth full-length LP, on Sitcom Universe / Loose Music. As a preview, they’ve released the album track “Positively Freaking,” a textured, folky rock hybrid with lots of melodic hooks, harmonies, and a propulsive, rolling arrangement. The new album, produced by Wilco‘s Ken Coomer, deals frankly with songwriter Matthew Milia‘s childhood experience when his father lost his job. The couple of tracks released so far (“27 Dollars” is also streaming now) indicate a vivid and detailed slice of American life that holds true in today’s bizarre social and economic structure.
