Go Periscope burst into our consciousness in 2011, when they won our MTV Needle In The Haystack competition. Back then, the Seattle band was marked by their successful fusion of throwback synth sounds with more modern electronic and pop styles, always transcending genre pigeonholes. With the new track “Alive & Well,” a collaboration with Swedish artist John Mode, Go Periscope have mostly shed the sonic references to the past and have emerged as masters of modern electro-pop, combining elements of EDM with meticulous songcraft.
