Appearances aside, the UK quintet delivers nuanced indie pop that waxes and wanes through various mood swings. Listen to One Step and you’ll find yourself in familiar Brit rock territory”ethereal vocals, urgent guitars and mercurial rhythms. But lest you think that elmor is another band of brooding Anglos, they deliver a booster shot of sunny melodicism (with handclaps!) in Remember Thinking. It’s a tune you’ll want to blast next time you’re behind the steering wheel ” whether it’s on the left or right side of your car.
