Motion City Soundtrack Stream “Severance”

After teaming up with Drexel University’s MAD Dragon Records to release several up and coming artist’s 7-inch records, Motion City Soundtrack is gearing up to release one of their own as part of their Making Moves series.

The record, which drops Nov. 6, will include two releases, Severance and Major Leagues as well as a cover of Rilo Kiley’s Pictures Of Success. Speaking to Rolling Stone about their cover choice, Justin Pierre says:

“There’s one memory we have of all of us in a van touring and listening to that song, and then when the trumpets kick in in the original, everyone was just going nuts and making trumpet sounds with their mouths,” Pierre laughed. “It sounds dumb and stupid — and it really was — but it was like three in the morning driving somewhere and it was just a fond memory.”
