Brand New Cancel European Tour Dates

New York rock favorites Brand New have announced the cancellation of all currently scheduled European tour dates.

Speaking directly to fans, Brand New (or whomever runs their social networks) broke news of the cancellations with the message, Brand New regretfully announce that due to insurmountable personal issues, they have been forced to cancel their August European tour, including appearances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals. Sincere apologies to everyone we are letting down.

Fans are understandably bummed by the news, but what strikes us as curious is how the message itself reads. The note first addresses the band as “they” before ending with a first person apology. Are the members updating fans, or someone they hired?

Whatever the case, we wish the members of Brand New the best luck moving forward.
