Protest The Hero are having a banner year. They kicked things off with a successful crowdfunding campaign to create a new album free of label constraints, then signed a gigantic distribution deal with Razor & Tie, and now are finally ramping up to release that long-awaited album with the debut of a brand new single that will make metalheads worldwide weep with joy.

Everyone who loves rock appreciates a band that does heavy well, but the real challenge is finding fresh ways to approach heavy without falling victim to the metalcore antics that have dominated hard rock in recent years. Protest The Hero have long navigated the waters of heavier music with ease, and they continue their journey with the guitar-shredding anthem “Clarity.” The song, which is almost completely void of the chugs and screams that have dominated the band’s music in the past, plays with a pulsing sense of urgency that fills the room.
