iROCK: Backyard BBQ

The birds are chirping, the sun is shining, the flowers are blooming¦ yep you guessed it, SUMMER is here! Almost. OK, maybe I’ve just  missed the beautiful weather, kids playing in the streets and the sweet sweet smell of the grill too long. But now that the sun is out, I’m thinking ahead. Some of you may know this and some of you may not, but OurStage is running the “Converse Battle Of The Band’s” Channel contest to find supporting acts to perform with Mayday Parade and Anberlin on the Journey’s Backyard BBQ Tour stop here in Boston, MA. So, in the spirit of summer, BBQ and awesome rock music, I’ve put together a playlist of some bands that I think would do very well in the competition and sound great opening for the aforementioned headliners. Within the playlist you’ll find: The Sunstreak, Darling Parade, THESKYLIFE, Thirteen Yards To Victory, The Product, and The Lost Colors. If you know any bands that could fit the bill and are from the Boston area then tell them to get their music up on OurStage and compete in the Converse Channel for their chance to share the stage with pop rockers Mayday Parade and Anberlin!
