Strawberry Girls And Stolas Announce Tour

Two of the fastest-rising bands in the pop rock arena have announced a summer tour that you ought to know about.

Strawberry Girls and Stolas have announced plans to embark on a tour together in the coming weeks. The two bands share an odd connection through Dance Gavin Dance: Strawberry Girls’ guitarist, Zachary Garren, used to be in Dance Gavin Dance, and Stolas is signed to Blue Swan Records, the label owned by Will Swan of DGD.

Though both bands are relatively new on the national scene, this undertaking is no small feat. The tour will begin and end in California, but stretches as far east as Connecticut. You can view the tour dates below. (more…)

Last month we held a competition offering OurStage artists a chance to open for multiple dates of the “Rock Yourself To Sleep” tour with Dance Gavin Dance, A Lot Like Birds, I The Mighty, Hail The Sun, and The Orphan, The Poet. Judging from the following video, it looks like the tour was a blast. A Lot Like Birds seem to have taken the theme of the tour pretty seriously, ending their set on the last date with an all out mosh pit pillow fight on stage and in the crowd. Check out the comfy carnage below:

Dance Gavin Dance's Bus Catches Fire

There have been an unheard of number of tour-related accident this Fall. From bus crashes, to van flips, to earlier today when Dance Gavin Dance discovered their bus had caught on fire.

Taking to social networks this evening, drummer Matt Mingus filled fans in on the incident:

So that was a first. Woke up to our tour bus on fire today. Thank goodness no one was hurt. Don’t worry we are not missing any shows either. And thanks to the St. Pettersburg fire department for their amazing response time I’m sure it could have been a lot worse.
